School and Workshop on Dynamical Systems
IMPA, Rio de Janeiro, de 16/01 até 27/01
Initiating the series of School / Workshops in Mathematicas and Physics in the Latin America and Caribbean region under the auspices of International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP) and the Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico (CNPq), the School and Workshop on Dynamical Systems is open to students and scientists from all countries, but funds were primarily available for graduate students, post-doc fellows and scientists from Latin America.
The main topics are: Homoclinic Bifurcations; Strange Attractors: Lorenz and Hénon; Sinai-Ruelle-Bowen Measures; Stochastic Stability; Dynamics of Generic Systems; Partial Hyperbolicity and Dominated Splitting; Lyapunov Exponents; Density of Hyperbolicity in 1D Dynamics; Parametrized Families of Transformations; Stochastic versus Regular Behavior; KAM and Mather Theories; Diffusion; Billiards.
