IMPA
offers a PhD degree in Mathematics, aimed at preparing future researchers in the field.

The main requirement of the PhD program is the production of a dissertation embodying the results of original research. IMPA has research groups in the following areas:

IMPA has the IMPA Post-Graduate Association (APG-IMPA), which is an organization of students for students, in which actions are promoted and supported that aim to help everyone to have a better experience at the institute. The goal is collective articulation seeking better study conditions, rights and opportunities, and offering welcome, fraternization and fun.
