ABOUT THE AUTHORS
César Camacho
César Camacho was born in Peru and graduated at the Universidad Nacional de Ingeniería, Lima, but, he became a mathematician in Brazil. He obtained his Master’s degree at IMPA and then went to the University of California, Berkeley where he obtained his PhD and returned to IMPA, where he is a Full Researcher. His works are on dynamical systems, foliations and singularities of integrable forms. This is the first book he wrote. César has photography as a hobby.
Alcides Lins Neto
Alcides was born in Minas Gerais but was raised in Rio, where he graduated in electronic engineering at the Military Institute of Engineering. He obtained his Master’s degree and Doctor degree at IMPA, where he is a Full Researcher, with a thesis about Dynamical Systems defined by electrical circuits (guess who was his adviser?).
His research works are on dynamical systems, foliations and singularities of integrable forms. This too is the first book he wrote but it is said that Alcides is ghost-writer of some chapters of other books.
