Ricardo Mañé
Ricardo was an Uruguayan from Montevideo, where he began his studies of Mathematics which he completed at IMPA, obtaining his doctorate degree in 1973 under the guidance of Jacob Palis. His career in mathematics was entirely at IMPA, where he was a Full Researcher. A specialist in dynamical systems and ergodic differentiable theory, he has published several research papers on these topics. He participated in several symposia and delivered lectures at the Universities of Berkeley, Warwick, Northwestern, Écoloe Polytechnique and the Institut des Hautes Études Scientifiques.
