Pedro Jesus Fernandez
He earned a Bachelor’s degree in mathematical sciences in 1966, at the University of Buenos Aires. He was immediately admitted as a researcher and advisor in the area of Statistics at the Fundación de Investigaciones Economicas Latinoamericanas, an institution sponsored by the Ford Foundation. Later he was a fellow of that institution at the University of California, Berkeley, where he obtained the PhD degree in Statistics, in the year of 1970.
He was Assistant Professor of that university until his transfer to IMPA, Instituto de Matemática Pura e Aplicada, of the Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico. He was Director-President of Novaction S.A., a French company specialized in marketing systems. He is the author of several books and works in areas of his professional experience.
