DESCRIPTION
This book is an introduction to the functions of a complex variable theory addressed toward undergraduate or leveling courses. We adopted the point of view of discussing Cauchy Theory topics in the most elementary way possible, without any damage to the minimum of rigor necessary to the correct understanding of some results on holomorphic functions.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Márcio Gomes Soares
He is a full professor at the Federal University of Minas Gerais. He obtained his PhD at the University of Liverpool (UK). He was president of the Brazilian Society of Mathematics from 1993 to 1997. His research area is geometric aspects of the holomorphic foliations.
