Projeto “Talentos de Destaque em Matemática”

O Instituto de Matemática Pura e Aplicada (IMPA) abre processo seletivo para uma Bolsa de Pós-Doutorado no âmbito do projeto “Talentos de Destaque em Matemática: Lacunas e Barreiras nas Trajetórias de Carreira no Brasil”. O projeto tem como objetivo desenvolver, disseminar e avaliar intervenções baseadas em mídia para inspirar um desempenho matemático mais inclusivo em larga escala, por meio da Olimpíada Brasileira de Matemática das Escolas Públicas (OBMEP).

Tenure-track position in Pure, Applied and Industrial Mathematics

The “Instituto de Matemática Pura e Aplicada” (IMPA) is accepting applications for one tenure-track position in all areas of Pure, Applied or Industrial Mathematics with special emphasis on the subareas of Applied Mathematics and Industrial Mathematics. The positions will initially involve a trial period, with the potential for transition to permanent researcher evaluated during the first four years. The estimated starting monthly salary ranges from R$ 26.952,00 to R$ 28.898,57. More senior applicants may also be considered for tenured positions.

Postdoctoral Fellowship in Mathematics

The “Instituto de Matemática Pura e Aplicada” (IMPA) in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, announces a Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Mathematics. This is a two-year position, which may be renewed for one more year by mutual agreement between IMPA and the fellow. The fellowship provides a tax-free stipend of R$ 9,000.00, accompanied by an additional annual stipend of R$ 12,000.00 to support academic travels.
