The program

The Olympic Teacher Improvement Program – PROLÍMPICO aims to spread the “Olympic culture” and offer proposals for classroom application to mathematics teachers and school administrators from all over Brazil.

Addressing issues related to the Mathematical Olympiads, the program is divided into two independent levels encompassing the elementary and secondary levels.

100% online

The program takes place virtually, with classes broadcast on IMPA’s Youtube and on the Google Classroom platform.

Registration

Applications must be made through our online system “IMPA Institucional” between January 12 and 29, 2026.

Certificate

Only teachers who complete one of the modalities will receive the certificate in digital format.

Schedule

12th edition

Professors Krerley Oliveira and Samuel Barbosa, coordinators of the program, invite you to the 12th PROLÍMPICO, which will take place virtually from February 2 to 6, 2026, according to the schedule below, and will be broadcast on IMPA’s Youtube.

All registrations must be made through our system https://institucional.impa.br/ by 29/01/2026.

Criteria for obtaining the certificate:
In this edition, there will be two modalities of participation to be defined at the time of application. See the following descriptions and select the option you want.

Participation

The teacher must access IMPA’s Youtube, watch the lessons posted in the interval (02 to 06/02) and solve the exercises proposed in the electronic evaluation form, which will be released on 02/02 through the event’s Google Classroom and will remain open until 06/02. The link to enter the room will be sent via the e-mail address registered in our institutional system.

The teacher who fills out the evaluation form and achieves a grade greater than or equal to 50% of the form will be entitled to the certificate of participation.

Participation with performance

The teacher must access IMPA’s Youtube, watch the lessons posted in the interval (02 to 06/02) and solve the exercises proposed in the electronic evaluation form, which will be released on 02/02 through the event’s Google Classroom and will remain open until 06/02. The link to enter the room will be sent via the e-mail address registered in our institutional system. In addition to the evaluation form, the teacher must answer an electronic test, which will be released on February 6th at 9am and can be handed in until February 7th at 9am.

The teacher who fills out the evaluation form and takes the test must achieve a score greater than or equal to 50%, to be entitled to the certificate of Participation with performance.

  • Teachers can register for one or more levels.
  • All registered teachers will receive an e-mail invitation to take part in the activities via the Google Classroom platform.
  • Classes of all levels will be available on IMPA’s Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/user/impabr
  • Only teachers who complete one of the above will receive the certificate.
