Women make up 47% of INCTMat scholarship recipients.

The INCTMat (National Institute of Science and Technology of Mathematics) has released the final results of the candidates approved for scientific initiation scholarships in the areas of "mathematics" and "applied mathematics". In total, 15 students were selected, 40% (seven) of whom are women. The studies will begin between September and October 2022, with a duration of 12 months.
The grant awarded is R$ 400, through the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq). INCTMat will contact those approved by email. Undergraduate research grants are especially important for students to begin research activities and delve deeper into the study of new topics.
Furthermore, the organization has an open call for proposals to support in-person scientific events held in Brazil. Applications close on September 1st.
The initiative will grant financial aid of up to R$ 20,000 to selected institutions and universities. Events must be scheduled to take place between January and June 2023. More information is available on the INCTMat website .
