The names of the award winners at the 40th Brazilian Mathematical Olympiad (OBM) have been released.
Participants in the 40th edition of the Brazilian Mathematics Olympiad (OBM) can now celebrate Christmas without so much anxiety. The list of award winners of the competition, which brought together more than 1,500 students from public and private schools across the country, as well as university students, was released this Friday (21).
The names of the 307 awardees, who received gold, silver, and bronze medals or honorable mentions, can be found on the OBM website . OBM was created in 1979 by IMPA, in partnership with the Brazilian Mathematical Society (SBM) and with the support of the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq).

Call for applications for the Olympic Training Centers has been released.

In this edition of the OBM competition, which brings together students from elementary, middle, and university levels, there were 307 award winners in total: 83 from level 1 (Fridays and 7th grades); 77 from level 2 ; 80 from level 3 (high school); and 67 from the university level .
Award winners will be invited to participate in the selection processes for positions on teams representing Brazil in international competitions, such as the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO), the Ibero-American Mathematical Olympiad, and the Southern Cone Mathematical Olympiad.
Olympic Week 2019
If you are one of the OBM award winners, don't make any other commitments between January 20th and 2Fridays. Your excellent performance in the competition guarantees an invitation to participate in the 2Mondays Olympic Week, which will be held in Anápolis (GO).
The event includes intensive training, lectures on different Mathematics Olympiads held in other countries, and selection tests for places on the Brazilian teams that will represent Brazil in three international competitions: the 8th European Girl's Mathematical Olympiad (EGMO); the 30th Southern Cone Mathematics Olympiad; and the 9th Mathematics Olympiad of the Community of Portuguese-Speaking Countries (OMCPLP).
