They say beauty is subjective, but for mathematics, that's not quite the case. To have a perfect and symmetrical face, it needs to fit the golden ratio, a mathematical equation invented by the Greeks, generally associated with perfect forms since antiquity.

Guess who has the most perfect male face in the world? It's not a mathematician, but the actor George Clooney.

A study conducted by the Centre For Advanced Facial Cosmetic and Plastic Surgery used the Greek mathematical formula to evaluate the most perfect celebrity face in the world. Among the faces analyzed, Clooney presented the measurements that most closely approximate the perfect equation of beauty, reaching 91.86% of the "magic ratio".

To reach this conclusion, a little help from a computer program was needed. The software is capable of calculating the proportionality between the size of the nose, chin, and the position of the eyes. Based on these measurements, it was possible to define the actor as the most handsome man in the world.

The truth is that George Clooney didn't win the title of "most handsome" so easily. It was a tough competition. He narrowly beat fellow actors Bradley Cooper (91.80%) and Brad Pitt (90.51%). Close behind were singer Harry Styles (89.63%), former soccer player David Beckham (88.96%), and actors Will Smith (88.88%), Idris Elba (87.93%), and Ryan Gosling (87.48%).
