The locations for the second phase of the OBMEP (Brazilian Mathematical Olympiad for Public Schools) have been announced.

The list of locations for the second phase of the 2019 Brazilian Mathematics Olympiad for Public Schools (OBMEP) is now available on the Olympiad's website . Approximately one million students from public and private schools across Brazil will take the exam on September 28th at 2:30 PM (Brasilia time).

Students wishing to find their test location should access this link and provide their state, municipality, and school. Institutions wishing to verify the test location for their students taking the second phase of the exam should provide their INEP code at the same link.

The organization recommends that students arrive at the testing centers at least 30 minutes in advance, carrying an original identification document (identity card, birth certificate, or school ID), the OBMEP information card, a pencil, an eraser, and a blue or black ballpoint pen. The second phase exam is essay-based, differentiated by difficulty level, and consists of six questions worth up to 20 points each. Candidates will have three hours to complete the assessment. The winners will be announced on December Tuesdays.

The first phase of OBMEP 2019 involved 18.1 million students, from the Fridays grade of elementary school to the Tuesdays year of high school, from 54,831 schools, in 99.7% of Brazilian municipalities.

Funded by the Ministry of Science, Technology, Innovation and Communications (MCTIC) and the Ministry of Education (MEC), OBMEP aims to stimulate the study of Mathematics, identify talented young people, encourage students to enter scientific and technological fields, and promote social inclusion through the dissemination of knowledge.
