The list of those qualified for the second phase of OBMEP has been released.

The list of those who qualified for the second phase of OBMEP (Brazilian Mathematics Olympiad for Public Schools) was released this Monday (13). Almost one million students from public and private schools across Brazil will take the test on September 15, at 2:30 pm (Brasilia time).

Students who have qualified can print their confirmation cards and check their test locations on the website www.obmep.org.br . The organization recommends that students arrive at the testing centers at least 30 minutes in advance, carrying an original identification document (identity card, birth certificate or school ID), the OBMEP information card, a pencil and an eraser.

In 2018, the most important Brazilian scientific competition had 54,496 participating schools, surpassing the number of institutions registered in the previous year (53,231).

Created in 2005, OBMEP is an initiative of IMPA (Institute of Pure and Applied Mathematics), with support from the Brazilian Mathematical Society (SBM) and resources from the Ministry of Science, Technology, Innovation and Communications (MCTIC) and the Ministry of Education (MEC).
