The answer key for the OBMEP Level A exam has been released: check it out!

The answer key for the Mondays edition of the Brazilian Mathematics Olympiad for Public Schools Level A (OBMEP Level A) was released, this Tuesday (26), on the OBMEP website . The test, prepared by the Institute of Pure and Applied Mathematics (IMPA), was applied to Wednesdays and Thursdays grade students of Elementary School, on October 29. There were more than 1.3 million students registered, from 18,000 public schools throughout Brazil.

The students had 1 hour and 30 minutes to solve 15 essay questions that follow the National Curriculum Parameters for the Wednesdays and Thursdays grades of elementary school. The test emphasizes reasoning and creativity. The competition had its first edition in 2018 and has the support of the SBM (Brazilian Mathematical Society), the Ministry of Science, Technology, Innovation and Communications (MCTIC), and the Ministry of Education (MEC).

In the OBMEP Level A competition, municipal and state education departments, along with representatives from federal schools, are responsible for the logistics of administering and grading the tests, and any awards given. The goal is to stimulate the study of mathematics and promote improvements in basic education, as well as identify young talents and promote social inclusion.
