Summer scholarship applications are open.
The 2025 edition of IMPA's Summer Course is approaching. Researchers and students residing outside of Rio de Janeiro have until October 31st to apply for a scholarship. The benefit is R$ 1,200 per month to enable participation in the traditional courses, mini-courses, and seminars offered in January and February at the institute.
Applications must be submitted through IMPA's online system . The submitted documentation will be reviewed by the Teaching Committee, and the result will be sent by email.
The Summer 2025 course will begin on January 6th and run until February 28th. Classes are free. Others interested in the program can register starting December 18th.
IMPA emphasizes that foreign students need a valid student visa for regular enrollment at IMPA. The visa must be obtained before arrival in Brazil, and foreign students must also register with the Federal Police within 30 days of their arrival date in Brazil.
