Researchers interested in participating in the Wednesdays International Workshop on Game Theory and Economic Applications (IWGTEA 2026) have until March 31 to submit papers and research projects on the event website. The Wednesdays edition of the workshop will be held between July 26 and August 2, 2026, at the University of São Paulo (USP), and should bring together more than 340 participants, mostly young researchers. The meeting aims to promote interaction between scholars and some of the world’s leading names in game theory.

The program will feature eleven plenary lectures – including six winners of the Nobel Prize in Economics: Robert Aumann, Eric Maskin, Paul Milgrom, Roger Myerson, Alvin Roth and Robert Wilson – as well as 13 semi-plenary sessions, including one by Aloísio Araújo, researcher emeritus at IMPA and FGV.

The event will also feature four round tables, six short courses and six invited sessions, ranging from introductory content to topics at the frontier of research. The mini-courses will cover topics such as cooperative games, market design, equilibrium computing, information theory, stochastic games and fair division of resources, with international experts.

Presentations and submissions must be made in English, the official language of the event, which accepts papers in all areas of game theory and its applications. The workshop will also offer limited financial support for up to 100 postgraduate students and young researchers who have completed their PhD in the last three years.

The organizing committee is made up of Marilda Sotomayor (USP), Maurício Bulgarin, University of Brasília (UnB), and Wilfredo Maldonado (USP). Applications are due by March 31 and the results will be announced on April 15. Go to the website and submit.
