Selection process for Director-General of IMPA

The Selection Committee, appointed by the Board of Directors of the National Institute of Pure and Applied Mathematics (IMPA) pursuant to Article 37 of its Bylaws, hereby announces the selection process for the position of General Director for the period from January 1, 2020 to December 31, 2023.

The coordination and execution of the selection process will be the responsibility of the Selection Committee, which includes Ms. Helena Bonciani Nader (UNIFESP), Mr. Jonas de Miranda Gomes (IMPA Council), Mr. Jorge Almeida Guimarães (EMBRAPII), Mr. Lindolpho de Carvalho Dias (FGV), and Ms. Regina Pekelmann Markus (USP).

The Selection Committee will be responsible for receiving applications, evaluating candidates, and preparing a shortlist of three candidates for subsequent presentation to the institution's Board of Directors, which will appoint the person to the position of General Director.

Researchers currently holding a PhD, working in Mathematics or related fields, with a distinguished scientific output and recognized leadership are eligible to apply.
