RNP opens public call for applications for the position of Director-General.

The National Education and Research Network (RNP) has an open public call for applications for its Director-General, who will serve from April 2025 to April 2029. The Social Organization is responsible for connecting universities and educational, research and innovation institutions with secure internet and services in the RNP System. The deadline for submitting applications is Monday (30). The process is conducted under the responsibility of the organization's Board of Directors, with registration via a digital form ( https://selecaodg.rnp.br/ ).

Among the responsibilities of the position, the Director-General is responsible for achieving the strategic objectives of the Social Organization, developing alliances in various areas, driving innovation, ensuring governance, and leading RNP's human capital.

Candidates must have at least ten years of professional experience in managing public or private organizations, in addition to a completed postgraduate degree (stricto sensu) or higher qualification. They cannot be partners in companies that supply or are clients of RNP, nor have any other relationship that could be characterized as a conflict of interest. Fluency in English and Spanish and availability for travel and on-site work in Brasília are also mandatory requirements.

The selection process consists of five stages, including filling out a form with the requirements listed in the call for applications and submitting supporting documents, a psychometric test, and virtual and in-person interviews.

The selection process is being conducted by a Selection Committee, established for the purpose of submitting a shortlist of three candidates to the Board of Directors, which will elect the CEO. The selection of the new CEO is planned for the end of this year and will be followed by a transition period, to be completed in March 2025.
