Press accreditation is now open for ICM 2018.

If you wish to cover ICM 2018 (International Congress of Mathematicians), the most important meeting in the field and a stage for debates that have revolutionized this science worldwide, press accreditation is now open.

Hosted for the first time in a Southern Hemisphere country, the ICM 2018 has been held every four years since 1897. It will once again bring together the most prominent scientists in the field from August 1st to 9th at Riocentro, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

The Fields Medal, considered the "Nobel Prize for Mathematics," is announced and awarded every four years during the ICM . It recognizes exceptional achievements in the field of mathematics for up to four researchers under the age of 40. In 2014, Brazilian Artur Avila, a researcher at IMPA and CNRS-France, was one of the recipients of the prize.

This will be a unique opportunity to learn about the latest advances in mathematical research worldwide and to share the collaborative spirit of science.
