Pi Center selects postdoctoral fellow
The IMPA Innovation and Projects Center (Centro Pi) is accepting applications for a postdoctoral position in industrial mathematics. The project, carried out in partnership with Petrobras, offers a scholarship of R$ 7,370. The initiative aims to integrate machine learning and neural network ideas into the seismic inversion problem, developing techniques for the velocity model and solving the complete wavefield inversion problem. The project also aims to develop methods and theories on hybrid models that include additional data, such as uncertainty quantification.
