PAPMEM will take place between January 27th and 31st.

The Professional Development Program for High School Mathematics Teachers (PAPMEM) has a date set. In 2025, classes will be held virtually between January 27th and 31st via IMPA's YouTube channel . Registration is free and can be done through the institute 's institutional system between December 16th and January 23rd. The program offers two participation options: the first is fully remote, and the second is hybrid – with an in-person exam at one of the program's centers and a certificate of participation with performance for those who achieve at least 60 points. Held since 1990, PAPMEM aims to contribute to the training of high school mathematics teachers throughout Brazil. The initiative is open to teachers from the public and private school systems or to undergraduate students from any field. Participating in this edition are professors Paulo Cezar, Luciano Castro, Roberto Cezar, Flávia Landim, Edmilson Motta, Ledo Vaccaro, Pedro Malagutti, and Carlos Gomes. The complete course schedule is available on the IMPA website. During the program, IMPA's YouTube channel will broadcast two classes per day to participants at 9:00 AM. At the end of each class, exercises will be sent via an online form, which must be answered on the same day. Answers will count towards attendance and will guarantee the sending of a participation certificate to the professors. Teachers who opt for the hybrid modality will receive a certificate of participation based on performance. In addition to the classes, these participants must attend in person on January 31st at the location selected during the application process to take the exam. The exam will begin at 9:00 AM and will last 1 hour and 30 minutes. PAPMEM has been run by IMPA for over 30 years and involves institutions and professors from all over the country.
