Maurício Guedes receives honorary doctorate from UFRJ.
The technological director of the Rio de Janeiro State Research Support Foundation (Faperj), Maurício Guedes, received the title of Doctor Honoris Causa from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), in a ceremony at the Coppe/UFRJ auditorium. The solemn session that awarded the title to the engineer was held this Friday (3), at 10 am, and was attended by the Director-General of IMPA, Marcelo Viana.

On that occasion, Viana honored the engineer's title and praised the role he plays at the head of the institution. "Maurício Guedes has been doing a fantastic job at the 'new' Faperj, with his energetic and enlightened vision of the role of universities and research institutes in technological development and industrial innovation," said Viana.
