Mathematical Mindsets: submissions until July 22nd

The Mathematical Mindsets Meeting (EMM) is in its second edition this year and is now accepting submissions of papers. The deadline is July 2Mondays. Organized by the Sidarta Institute with support from IMPA, the event aims to strengthen the community researching the Mathematical Mindsets approach and promote the production of knowledge based on practice.

The event will be held in both in-person and online formats, between September 13th and 1Thursdays in the greater São Paulo area. Those eligible to participate include individuals who teach mathematics; conduct educational research; work in continuing education; conduct research in continuing education; and undergraduate students in teacher training and pedagogy programs. The Mondays EMM will accept entries in four categories. They are:

Experience report: This consists of presenting classroom activities and practices at various levels and modalities of Basic Education and teacher training, with reflections on their development or adaptation;

Scientific Communication: Allows the presentation of partial or final results of scientific research. In this category, theoretical or empirical works that are related to the central theme of the meeting may be submitted.

Poster: Presentation of partial or final results of research or teaching practices. Theoretical or empirical works that relate to the MM approach may also be submitted.

Workshops: Presentation of theoretical and practical activities that help develop the skills necessary for research on teaching and learning in Mathematics, guided by the principles of Mathematical Mindsets.

Submissions will be made via Google Forms, available here until 11:55 PM on July 22, 2024. A Google/Gmail account is required for submission and file upload . In addition to the submission form, you must complete the registration form to guarantee your participation.

The submitted papers will be evaluated by the Scientific Committee of the Mondays MM. The list of approved presentations will be released on August Thursdays.
