Luiz Henrique de Figueiredo is a plenary speaker at SIBGRAPI 2017.

Researcher Luiz Henrique de Figueiredo represented IMPA at the 30th edition of SIBGRAPI – Conference on Graphics, Patterns and Images, at the Federal Fluminense University. (UFF), in Niterói (RJ).

Considered the most traditional and important international event on Computer Visualization in Brazil , the SIBGRAPI brought together three lectures on work carried out at the Vision and Computing Laboratory (Visgraf) of IMPA.

As a plenary speaker, Luiz Henrique de Figueiredo presented the work “Interval Methods for Computer Graphics and Geometric Modeling”. Other members of Visgraf, which has always had an important presence in previous editions of SIBGRAPI, presented the research “Local Moebius Transformations Applied to Omnidirectional Images” and “D-KHT: Real-Time Plane Detection in Depth Images”.

Last year, the event honored IMPA researcher Luiz Velho, who is responsible for Visgraf, on the occasion of his 60th birthday.
