Last days to apply for support of up to R$ 20,000 from INCTMat.

Until next Friday (13), scientific events in mathematics held during the second half of 2023 can request support of up to R$ 20 thousand from the National Institute of Science and Technology of Mathematics (INCTMat) . The institute has an open call for in-person activities held in Brazil between July and December and aims to encourage actions to disseminate mathematics and its applications.

To be eligible for funding, institutions or universities that are scheduling events during the specified period must send the required documentation, as outlined in the call for proposals , to the email address inctmat@impa.br and complete the online form. The funding is limited to the payment of participants' per diem expenses.

The main selection criteria are scientific and academic quality; relevance of the event to the local context; impact of the project on local and regional development; reliability of the estimated budget; financial commitment from local institutions, among others.

Furthermore, the selection process also prioritizes proposals that reflect the gender and regional diversity of the mathematical community in the Scientific Committee, Organizing Committee, and list of speakers.

Applications will be reviewed by the INCTMat Management Committee, and the results will be announced by March 31, 2023. For more information, visit the call for proposals page and view the full announcement.
