INCTMat opens call for support for scientific events.
The National Institute of Science and Technology of Mathematics (INCTMat) has an open call for proposals to support scientific events in Brazil, held between January and June 2025. The initiative will grant financial aid of up to R$ 20,000 per event, exclusively for the payment of per diem expenses to participants. The initiative aims to promote and disseminate mathematics and its applications throughout Brazil.

Registration is open for the 7th IMPA Journalism Award.
To apply, it is essential to send the documentation described in the call for proposals to the email address inctmat@impa.br and submit the online form by June 28, 2024. See the call for proposals here.
The proposals will be analyzed by the INCTMat Management Committee and the results will be announced on October 1st of this year.
The initiative is offered by INCTMat through funding from CNPq (National Council for Scientific and Technological Development) and Faperj (Carlos Chagas Filho Foundation for Research Support of the State of Rio de Janeiro).
The projects will be evaluated considering the following criteria:
- Events held in Brazil during the first half of 2025;
- Scientific and academic quality;
- Scientific relevance of the event in relation to the local context;
- Impact of the project on local and regional development;
- Reliability of the estimated budget;
- Financial commitment from local institutions;
- Commitment to diversity in the mathematics community.
