INCTMat: applications for event funding are open until September 1st.

The National Institute of Science and Technology of Mathematics (INCTMat) has an open call for proposals to support in-person scientific events held in Brazil. Applications close on September 1st.

The initiative will grant financial aid of up to R$ 20,000 to the selected institutions and universities. The events must be scheduled to take place between January and June 2023.
To apply, you must fill out the form and send a detailed project proposal, as well as the rest of the documentation required in the call for proposals, to the email address inctmat@impa.br .
The proposals will be analyzed by the INCTMat Management Committee and the results will be announced by November 1, 2022.
The goal of this initiative, funded by CNPq and Faperj, is to promote and disseminate mathematics and its applications. For more information, visit the call for proposals page.
The selection process will prioritize events that adequately reflect the gender and regional diversity of the mathematical community in the Scientific Committee, Organizing Committee, and list of speakers.
The criteria evaluated will be: scientific and academic quality, scientific relevance of the event in relation to the local context, impact of the project on local and regional development, reliability of the estimated budget, financial commitment of local institutions, and commitment to diversity in the mathematics community.
INCTMat is a project based at IMPA, with the institute as its main implementing entity. The initiative aims to promote the expansion and consolidation of Brazilian mathematics by supporting scientific events, as well as submitting candidates for undergraduate research and postdoctoral fellowships through CNPq and CAPES.
