INCTMat announces list of events selected for financial support.

The National Institute of Science and Technology of Mathematics (INCTMat) has released the final results of its public call for proposals to support scientific events in Brazil. The institute is providing financial support of up to R$ 20,000 for 30 events held in person between July and December 2023, aimed at promoting and disseminating mathematics and its applications.

The selection prioritized proposals that reflect the gender and regional diversity of the mathematical community in the Scientific Committee, Organizing Committee, and list of speakers.

Some selection criteria include scientific and academic quality; relevance of the event to the local context; impact of the project on local and regional development; reliability of the estimated budget; financial commitment from local institutions, among others.
