INCTMat announces list of events selected for financial support.

The National Institute of Science and Technology of Mathematics (INCTMat) released this Friday (29) the final result of the public call for support for scientific events held in Brazil. The 16 selected events will receive financial assistance of up to R$ 20 thousand each. The activities will be carried out in person between January and June 2024.

  • 15th Summer Workshop in Mathematics at UFV
  • XVI Symposium on Numerical Analysis and Optimization
  • EMALCA Uberaba 2024 – in honor of Jacob Palis
  • Foliation Theory and Algebraic Geometry
  • ICMC Summer Meeting on Differential Equations – 2024 Chapter
  • Mostly Maximum Principle
  • First Argentina-Brazil Meeting on Harmonic Analysis
  • Symposium on Linear Partial Differential Equations and Fourier Analysis
  • Special holonomy and geometric structures on complex manifolds
  • Workshop on Probabilistic and Statistical Methods (WPSM) 2024, ICMC-USP/UFSCar
  • Summer Workshop 2024 – PPGMat/UAMat/UFCG

The initiative aims to promote and disseminate mathematics and its applications and is offered by INCTMat with funding from CNPq (National Council for Scientific and Technological Development) and Faperj (Carlos Chagas Filho Foundation for Research Support of the State of Rio de Janeiro).

The selection prioritized events that adequately reflect the gender and regional diversity of the mathematical community in the Scientific Committee, Organizing Committee, and list of speakers.
