IMPA's YouTube channel had 3.1 million views.

In the year that IMPA resumed in-person classes and events, the institute's virtual community also grew. With content such as conferences, seminars, webinars, and thesis defenses, IMPA's YouTube channel reached 3.1 million views, totaling more than 415,000 hours of programming watched this year. The loyal audience reached 112,000 people in December.

The channel has been an important tool for disseminating scientific information for the institute since its launch in September 2009. In total, more than 14,000 articles have already been published on the platform. Videos that generated 10.5 million views.

In addition to master's and doctoral classes, the Professional Development Program for High School Mathematics Teachers 2022 ( PAPMEM ), the Thursdays edition of the Professional Development Program for Olympic Teachers ( PROLÍMPICO ), the IMPA 70th Anniversary Conference , and the International Conference on Dynamical Systems are examples of 2021 content that has been immortalized on the page.

During the celebration of IMPA's 70th anniversary, the career paths of the institute's employees were also documented on YouTube through the video series " IMPA Stories ." As part of the septuagenary program, special interviews were conducted with Lindolpho Carvalho Dias , former director of IMPA, and with Étienne Ghys , honorary researcher at the institute and perpetual secretary of the Académie des Sciences in France.

The channel's biggest success this year was the master's thesis lecture "Ordinary Differential Equations," by researcher Marcelo Viana, director-general of IMPA.
