IMPA will have four partners for Olympic training.
In partnership with the Institute of Pure and Applied Mathematics (IMPA), four educational institutions will fund the preparation of Brazilian teams for international mathematics competitions in 2019.
After analyzing the proposals submitted for the public call opened in March, the Evaluation Committee selected Colégio Etapa, Universidade Paulista (Unip), Colégio Augusto Laranja – all from São Paulo – and Escola Canadense Educação Global, from Niterói (RJ).
The training activity schedule will be released soon on the IMPA and Brazilian Mathematical Olympiad (OBM) websites.
The institutions will, together with IMPA, fund the academic and logistical activities of the main selection processes for international competitions promoted by the National Commission of Mathematical Olympiads of the Brazilian Mathematical Society (SBM): the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO); the Ibero-American Mathematical Olympiad; the Southern Cone Mathematical Olympiad; and the Mathematical Olympiad of Portuguese-Speaking Countries (OMCPLP).
