IMPA selects coordinator for personal data management.


IMPA has opened applications for the position of
Coordinator of Personal Data Management and Ombudsman . Applications are open until October 4th. To be eligible for the position, candidates must have a completed undergraduate degree in Law, Computer Science, Systems Analysis, Production Engineering, Administration, or related fields; in-depth knowledge of data protection (LGPD/GDPR), privacy, information security, data governance, and ombudsman services; experience in dealing with government authorities and regulatory bodies; and advanced English skills. Having the EXIN/DPO, CIPP/E, ECPC-B/DPO, and CIPM certifications is a plus.

The selected candidate will be based at the Personal Data Management and Ombudsman Coordination office, at IMPA headquarters (Estrada Dona Castorina, 110, Jardim Botânico, South Zone of Rio de Janeiro). The employment contract is under the CLT (Brazilian labor law), with a 40-hour work week, from 9 am to 6 pm, Monday to Friday. The salary is R$ 8,779.22, and benefits include medical and dental assistance (partial subsidy), childcare allowance, parking, and meal and/or food vouchers.

The main responsibilities of the position are to act as the data protection officer for IMPA under the terms of the General Data Protection Law; to receive and respond to communications from the National Data Protection Authority and consumer protection agencies; and to map, assess, and propose mitigation plans for risks related to privacy and the protection of personal data.

Candidates must attach an updated resume including their full name, ID number, PIS number, CPF number, date of birth, phone number, address, and email address. Applications submitted after the deadline stipulated in this document will be disregarded.

The selection process will be divided into three stages: curriculum analysis, exam, and interview. The exam phase will consist of an assessment of theoretical knowledge about the LGPD (Brazilian General Data Protection Law), worth 25 points. Candidates who do not achieve a minimum score of 60% (sixty percent) in each stage will be automatically disqualified. The final results will be published on October 20th on the institution's website, listing the candidates' full names and CPF numbers (Brazilian taxpayer identification numbers).
