The deputy director of IMPA and general coordinator of OBMEP (Brazilian Mathematics Olympiad for Public Schools), Claudio Landim, received, this Tuesday (6), a visit from Carlos Alberto Fernandes Henriques, general director of the Federal Fluminense Institute (IFF), in the municipality of Campos (North Fluminense), and Alex Cabral Barbosa, professor at IFF and coordinator-advisor of PIC and OBMEP at School.

Henriques had the opportunity to visit the IMPA headquarters (Horto, South Zone of Rio) and learn about the initiatives adopted to promote the teaching and dissemination of Mathematics among young people and teenagers through OBMEP.

Barbosa explained to Landim the progress made by the PIC students in Campos and the positive results achieved by the OBMEP na Escola program in the municipality.
