IMPA opens selection process for IT specialist 1

On Friday (6), IMPA opened a vacancy for an IT specialist1. Those interested can register for the selection process until March 16 by e-mailing vagas@impa.br, with the following subject: “IT Specialist 1 (IMPA Tech)”.

To apply for the vacancy, the candidate must have completed higher education in Information Technology and related areas; significant experience in computer support in a business environment; experience in maintaining desktops, notebooks and printers; experience in installing, configuring and supporting the Linux Ubuntu operating system and experience in installing, configuring and supporting the Windows 11 operating system. You must also have experience in creating scripts and automating routines on the Linux Ubuntu operating system; experience in installing, configuring and supporting Microsoft Office 365, Google Workspace and other Google applications; knowledge of network services (IPv4, IPv6, DNS, DHCP, subnets, LAN and Wi-Fi) and configuring these services on Windows and Linux workstations; and be able to create and update documentation on processes and procedures.

Hiring is on a CLT basis, in person, from 7am to 4pm, Monday to Friday, at IMPA Tech. The salary is R$4,620.54; in addition to meal and/or food vouchers, transportation vouchers, parking, medical and dental assistance (partial subsidy), daycare assistance and Totalpass.

The main duties and responsibilities of the position are: to provide level 1 technical support to all IMPA TECH end users (external and internal clients); to receive, record and act on incident calls and service requests, using the Fresh Service call control system; to assist users in person, remotely, by telephone and chat; to diagnose and solve problems relating to hardware and software; to install and configure Windows and Linux operating systems; to customize Linux Ubuntu environment routines; to create OS images to automate installations; to maintain control of IT assets, to automate installations; maintaining control of the institution’s IT assets; managing e-mail user accounts in the Google Worwspace Console: (creating, unlocking, blocking, changing passwords); managing e-mail groups in the Google Worwspace Console (creating, managing access permissions, sending settings); providing the necessary support to the Infrastructure, IT Security and Systems teams; as well as other duties. The final results of the selection process will be announced on March 25. Activities are scheduled to begin on April 4.
