IMPA opens selection process for IT specialist position.

IMPA is currently accepting applications for a Technology Specialist 1 position. Applications are open until August 8th.

To participate in the selection process, the candidate must have a completed higher education degree in engineering, computer science, or related fields; intermediate or advanced level in reading/writing technical English; solid experience working with network administration and configuration; experience with Cisco, Palo Alto, Aerohive/Extreme, Hikvision, Intelbras, Dell, and HP equipment; experience with cloud environments (Oracle, Google, AWS); knowledge of Cisco's Spine-Leafs architecture for data centers; experience with the SNMP protocol and with Zabbix and Grafana tools; experience with Linux environments; and also with programming languages for task automation such as Shell Script and Python.

The employment contract is under the CLT (Brazilian labor law), in-person, from 8 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday. The salary is R$ 10,461.84, plus meal and/or food allowance, transportation allowance, parking, medical and dental assistance (partial subsidy), and childcare assistance.

The main responsibilities of the position are: configuring and managing Cisco routers, Cisco switches, Hikvision, Intelbras, Dell and HP; configuring and managing Palo Alto and Fortigate firewalls; configuring and managing Aerohive/Extreme and Aruba wireless networks; configuring network protocols such as IPSEC, IPv4, IPv6, MPLS, VTP, HSRP, STP, HRSP, VRRP and BGP; installing network devices and managing high availability mechanisms; installing and managing security and quality of service mechanisms; monitoring network performance and capacity; identifying hardware problems; configuring Fanvil 1XSG phones; integrating with Linux network services such as DHCP, OpenLDAP, DNS, Radius, SAMBA, FTP, SSH; and handling network and telephony support requests.
