IMPA opens selection process for IT Specialist position 1

IMPA opened this Tuesday (23) a selection process to hire a professional for the position of IT Specialist 1. Applications can be made until February 8.

To be eligible for this position, candidates must have a degree in Information Technology or related fields; experience in IT support in a business environment; fluency in English at level B1 or higher, according to the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference), for verbal and written communication with users and reading technical documents; experience in maintaining desktops and notebooks; experience in installing, configuring, and supporting the Windows operating system; experience in installing, configuring, and supporting the Linux operating system; experience in managing users and computers linked to a Microsoft Active Directory environment; experience in installing, configuring, and supporting Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and other Google applications; knowledge of network services (IPv4, IPv6, DNS, DHCP, Subnets, Firewall, NTP, VPN, LAN, and Wi-Fi) and the configuration of these services on Windows and Linux workstations; and the ability to create and update process and procedure documentation.

The hired individual will be assigned to the User Support area. The employment contract is CLT (Brazilian labor law), in-person, with a 40-hour work week, from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, Monday to Friday. The salary is R$ 4,622.97, plus meal and/or food allowance, medical and dental assistance (partial subsidy), childcare assistance, and parking.

The main responsibilities of the position are: providing level 1 support to all IMPA end users (employees, researchers, and students); receiving, registering, and acting on incident reports and service requests using the FreshService ITSM system; providing support to users in person, remotely (TeamViewer), by phone, and via chat; diagnosing and resolving hardware and software problems; installing and configuring Windows, Linux, and macOS operating systems; creating OS images to automate installations; maintaining control of the institution's IT assets; managing user accounts and emails (creating, unlocking, blocking, changing passwords); managing email groups (creating, managing access permissions, and setting sending settings).
