IMPA opens selection process for apprentice and analyst

IMPA has an open selection process to fill a vacancy for an Apprentice in the Library. Applications are open until May 24th. Access the public notice here.

To apply for the job, candidates must be up to 24 years old (in accordance with Law 10.097/2000) and have completed or are currently completing secondary school.

Hiring is on a CLT basis, in person, from 1pm to 5pm, Monday to Friday, at IMPA. Among the desirable requirements for the position are: basic knowledge of the Office Package (especially Word and Excel); good verbal and written communication; previous experience (even if voluntary or at school) with customer service; an interest in literature, archives or data management; a profile that is attentive to detail and easy to follow organizational rules.

The main duties and responsibilities of the position are: helping to replace books on the shelves; rearranging the collection; checking the list of newly arrived periodicals; assisting users.

Vacancy for Administrative Analyst 1

The Institute also has a selection process open to fill a vacancy for an administrative analyst 1, in the Events and Scientific Activities sector. Applications are open until May 28th. Access the public notice here.

To apply for the job, candidates need to have completed higher education; fluent English (good writing skills and ability to deal with foreigners); their own writing skills in Portuguese and English; intermediate knowledge of the Office Package, especially Word and Excel; experience in administrative activities, preferably in corporate or institutional environments; and experience in processes such as: budget control, preparing management reports, monitoring indicators, administrative routines and management support.

Hiring is on a CLT basis, in person, from 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, at IMPA. Among the desirable requirements for the position are: ability to plan and organize the tasks requested; experience with ERP systems (such as Protheus, Totvs, etc.); knowledge of TeX.

The main duties and responsibilities of the position are: attending to the manager, coordinator, researchers and visitors (in person, by telephone and e-mail); administrative support for the activities of the area and the institute’s researchers; reception of foreign researchers, communicating in fluent English; writing documents in Portuguese and English; preparing and controlling spreadsheets, files and administrative documents; organizing meetings, preparing minutes and Terms of Reference; updating information on the institutional website; among other demands.
