IMPA opened this Monday (30) a selection process for hiring two Administrative Analysts 1 for the areas of Dissemination of Mathematics and Research Projects. Check below the prerequisites for each vacancy and the application deadlines.
Administrative Analyst 1 / Dissemination of Mathematics
To be eligible for the position, candidates must have a completed higher education degree in Administration, Social Communication, or Public Relations; proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel); proficiency in social media; intermediate English; and availability for events and travel. Applications are open until November 13th.
The successful candidate will be assigned to the Mathematics Dissemination area. The employment contract is CLT (Brazilian labor law), in-person, with a 40-hour work week, from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, Monday to Friday. The salary is R$ 4,622.97, plus meal and/or food allowance, medical and dental assistance (partial subsidy), childcare assistance, and parking.

The main responsibilities of the position are: providing support to internal and external clients; producing texts in Portuguese and English; requesting and controlling supplier payments; preparing reports and documents related to the area and spreadsheets in Excel; supporting administrative tasks; assisting in entering and updating data in the internal system and on the institution's webpage; organizing outreach activities, events, meetings, and minutes; organizing and controlling the area's files; monitoring the opening of calls for proposals for fundraising for outreach events; accounting for grants and fundraising; collaborating in the preparation of commercial proposals and the development of sales strategies; and collaborating with the entire IMPA Store process as needed by the team.
Ideally, the candidate should have knowledge of project management tools and financial routines; experience in creating reports, dashboards, and pivot tables using formulas, utilizing advanced Excel; experience using the Protheus ERP system and the WordPress tool; experience in monitoring administrative processes; experience in negotiating with suppliers and clients; experience with social organizations/third sector; experience in preparing commercial proposals and sales strategies; experience in organizing/planning events; be connected to the market and be a heavy user of technology; and have basic Spanish.

Administrative Analyst 1 / Research Projects
To be eligible for the position, candidates must have a degree in Business Administration or related fields; advanced spoken and written English; and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel. Applications are open until November 13th.
The successful candidate will be assigned to the Research Projects area. The employment contract is CLT (Brazilian labor law), in-person, with a 40-hour work week, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday. The salary is R$ 4,622.97, plus meal and/or food allowance, medical and dental insurance (partial subsidy), childcare assistance, and parking.
The main responsibilities of the position are: submitting funding proposals for projects; executing and monitoring projects (involving acquisitions, contracting services, financial, documentary and deadline controls); accounting for public funds; managing scientific/educational grants; attending to internal and external clients, as well as suppliers; drafting correspondence in Portuguese and English; creating and controlling spreadsheets; registering and monitoring researchers' absences abroad.
It is desirable that the candidate have a postgraduate degree in Project Management and experience with accountability procedures for public funding agencies (CNPQ, Finep, Faperj, Capes, among others).
