IMPA opens competition to hire researcher.

The Institute of Pure and Applied Mathematics (IMPA) opens, this Wednesday (11), a competition to fill a researcher position. Applications will be accepted until October 31. Preference will be given to specialists in Dynamical Systems, but the competition is open to professionals from all fields of Mathematics. To encourage diversity in all forms, the institute encourages applications from female researchers.

Initially, the new hire will have a probationary period of four years. In exceptional cases, the probationary period may be reduced or eliminated. The monthly salary will range between R $ 19,208.00 and R $ 26,306.00.

Candidates will also need to provide the names and email addresses of at least three renowned mathematicians, who will receive emails with information on how to submit a letter of recommendation (free format).

The selected researcher will be announced in January 2019. They are expected to begin their activities at IMPA between March 1st and September 1st, 2019.
