IMPA opens call for PCI research grants
On Tuesday (3), IMPA opened a call for proposals to select four fellows to work on the research projects “Computer Graphics: Media Frontiers” and “Asymptotic Behavior and Metastability in One-Dimensional Diffusions with Periodic Coefficients”. The research takes place within the scope of Institutional Training Program – PCIin the Development category, levels B, C and D. Check out the announcement.
Applications must be made by completing and sending the application form and consent form to pci@impa.br by February 12th. Applications can be made at this link.
The scholarships will be operated by the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq) and financed with funds from the budget of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MCTI).
The mandatory requirements are that the candidate must be Brazilian or a foreigner resident in Brazil with a regular migration status in the country or a non-resident foreigner with a temporary migration visa. They must also have a curriculum vitae registered and updated on the Lattes Platform and have the profile and experience appropriate to the level of the PCI scholarship they are applying for.
Candidates may not have held a PCI grant for 60 months or more, nor have they had a direct or indirect employment relationship with, or been retired by, the same institution that is carrying out the project. Those wishing to apply must also not have an employment relationship with any institution or company in Brazil and must not accumulate the aid with any other type of grant from any public or private development institution.
The list of all applications judged, approved and not approved, will be published on the page of IMPA’s Institutional Training Program, according to the schedule.
According to the notice, the preliminary results of the trial will be announced on March 25 and the list of applications approved by the CNPq/MCTI Framework Commission will be published by April 1.
