IMPA opens call for PCI research grants
IMPA opened on Wednesday (15) Public Call 02/2026 for the selection of three fellows who will work on research projects under the Institutional Training Program (PCI). The opportunities are for the Development (D) category, at levels B and D. Check out the full announcement.
Applications must be submitted by April 26th, by sending the registration form and the consent form to pci@impa.br. The necessary documents are available on the official call page. The scholarships will be operationalized by the CNPq (National Council for Scientific and Technological Development), with funding from the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MCTI).
Among the mandatory requirements, the candidate must be Brazilian or a foreigner in good standing in the country (or with an appropriate visa), have an up-to-date CV on the Lattes Platform and present a profile compatible with the level of the scholarship sought. They must also not have held a PCI scholarship for a period of 60 months or more and must not have an employment relationship or accumulate other scholarships during the period.
The selection process will consist of a framework and merit analysis, taking into account criteria such as previous research experience, suitability for the project and alignment of academic and professional career.
The preliminary results of the trial will be published on May 13, with a deadline for appeals of May 15. The final result is expected to be published by June 3.
