IMPA Opens Applications for the Summer 2027 Postdoctoral Program

Applications are now being accepted for the Summer 2027 Postdoctoral Program at IMPA. Aimed at researchers with a Ph.D. who are active in mathematics research, the program will take place between January and February 2027 at the Institute’s headquarters in the Botanical Garden in Rio de Janeiro. Those interested have until November 3, 2026 to register.

The initiative offers participants the opportunity to develop research projects, attend seminars, and take advantage of IMPA’s scientific environment, thereby fostering exchange between Brazilian mathematicians and researchers from other countries.

Active research mathematicians who hold a degree equivalent to a Ph.D. are eligible to apply. Applications must be submitted exclusively through the program’s website.

During their stay at IMPA, researchers will be able to conduct research projects, participate in scientific seminars, expand their interactions with researchers from the Institute and other institutions, and strengthen national and international scientific collaboration.
