IMPA opens applications for its Summer 2026 Postdoctoral Program.

The Postdoctoral Summer 2026 Program is accepting applications until October 31st. Active research mathematicians holding a doctoral-level qualification can apply through the website. The program will take place in January and February at IMPA's headquarters in Jardim Botânico.

The postdoctoral program aims to promote scientific exchange between Brazilian researchers and those from other countries. Activities include conducting research; participating in seminars; utilizing the scientific environment of IMPA (Institute for Pure and Applied Mathematics) by researchers from other institutions; and developing scientific exchange between Brazilian mathematicians and those from other countries.

At the time of application, applicants must select the IMPA researcher with whom they would like to collaborate during the program. Applications will be evaluated internally, and the results are expected to be announced in December. Apply here.
