Led by Professor Henrique Bursztyn along with researchers Vinicius Ramos, from IMPA, and Renato Vianna, from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), the symplectic geometry course will cover Hamiltonian and integrable systems, Hamiltonian symmetries, and symplectic reduction, among other topics. Classes will be taught in Portuguese, and student materials, such as bibliography, notes, and exercises, will be in English.

If requested, IMPA can issue a certificate of participation in the courses. Students enrolled in short courses who later enroll at IMPA in a master's or doctoral program may request that the courses taken be counted towards their credits.
