IMPA Issues Call for Proposals to Support Travel for Graduate Students
IMPA master’s and doctoral students can now apply for the Student Travel Grant Program, which provides financial assistance for participation in conferences, scientific events, and academic exchanges through funding from CAPES’s Academic Excellence Program (PROEX) run by CAPES. Applications are open until August 28.
The call for proposals covers trips scheduled to end by March 2027 and aims to support students’ academic development by encouraging participation in activities that contribute to the advancement of research and the expansion of scientific collaboration networks.
Applications must be submitted directly by the interested student and must include a recommendation from the academic advisor. The required information includes a detailed justification for the request, the name of the scientific event, the duration of the stay, the travel dates and itinerary, and the type of support requested—airfare and/or per diem—along with the estimated amount.
Students who are regularly enrolled in IMPA’s master’s and doctoral programs and who are CAPES scholarship recipients are eligible to participate.
In the event of high demand, the call for applications establishes prioritization criteria to optimize the allocation of available resources. Preference will be given to students who do not receive a research stipend from IMPA and to those who will present a paper or poster at the event.
Interested parties should pay close attention to the deadlines and required documentation to ensure their participation in the selection process. See the announcement here.
