IMPA has opened applications for the position of IT Specialist 1. To be eligible, candidates must have a degree in information technology or related fields; more than three years of experience in IT support; advanced English skills; experience in desktop and notebook maintenance, and in the installation, configuration, and support of Windows and Linux operating systems, among other requirements. Candidates can apply until July 20th.
The hired individual will be assigned to the user support coordination. The employment contract is under the CLT (Brazilian labor law), with a weekly workload of 40 hours, from 8 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday. The salary is R$ 4,381.97, with benefits such as medical and dental assistance (partial subsidy); childcare allowance; parking and meal and/or food vouchers.

Four researchers from IMPA are participating in ICM 2022.
The main responsibilities of the position are to provide support to IMPA users; receive, register, and act on incidents and service requests using the FreshService ITSM system; provide in-person, remote (TeamViewer), telephone, and chat support; diagnose and resolve hardware and software-related problems, among others. Certification or training in ITIL Foundation, Google IT Support Certificate, LPI 1, Ansible, and computer and notebook maintenance is also desirable.

Candidates will be pre-selected based on an analysis of submitted documents. Those selected for the second stage of the selection process will be notified by email by the IMPA human resources department. Those selected will then undergo a curriculum review and individual interview.
The list of qualified candidates will be available on the IMPA website, ranked according to their final score, on July 21st. The final results will be released on July 29th, and the expected start date for activities is August 8th, 2022.
