IMPA is selecting a professional for an IT specialist position.

IMPA has opened applications for the position of IT Specialist 2 (Network Analyst) . To be eligible for the position, candidates must have a completed higher education degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields; at least ten years of experience working with network administration and configuration; a multidisciplinary profile; the ability to design network architecture; solid knowledge of Routing/Switching (L2 and L3 layers) and NetOps and DevSecOps environments, among other things.

The successful candidate will be based in the Systems and Network Coordination department and will work remotely. The employment contract is under the CLT ( Brazilian labor law), with a 40-hour work week, from 9 am to 6 pm, Monday to Friday. The salary is R$ 8,319.39, with benefits such as medical and dental insurance (partial subsidy); childcare allowance; parking; and meal and/or food vouchers.

The main responsibilities of the position are to configure and manage network equipment ( access points , switches , routers, and firewalls ); configure the network protocols IPSEC, IPv4, IPv6, MPLS, VTP, HSRP, STP, eBGP, and iBGP; monitor network performance and capacity; install and manage high availability mechanisms and security and quality of service mechanisms; and integrate the DHCP, Radius, OpenLDAP protocols with the DNS hierarchy.

CCNA/CCNP certification and knowledge of Cisco's Spine-Leafs data center architecture are also desirable.

There will be a pre-selection of candidates based on the analysis of submitted documents. Those selected for the second stage of the selection process will be notified by email by the IMPA Human Resources Coordination. Those selected will go through the following stages: curriculum analysis; English and Portuguese writing tests; specific knowledge test; and individual interview.

The list of qualified candidates will be available on the IMPA website, ranked according to their final score. The expected start date for the program is January 10, 2022.
