IMPA is hiring an administrative assistant.

IMPA has opened applications for the position of administrative assistant. To be eligible, candidates must have completed or be currently pursuing a higher education degree in administration, possess an intermediate level of English, and have advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel. Applications are open until October 11th (Friday).
The successful candidate will be based at the Research Projects Coordination office, at IMPA headquarters (Jardim Botânico, South Zone of Rio de Janeiro). Under the CLT (Brazilian labor law) regime, the workload is 40 hours per week (8 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday). The salary is R$ 2,139.31. Benefits include medical and dental insurance (partial subsidy), career development plan, childcare allowance, parking, and meal and/or food vouchers.

Prior experience in educational and/or research institutions is a desirable requirement for the position.
The duties and responsibilities of the position include creating and managing spreadsheets in Excel; assisting researchers, students, and suppliers; acquiring materials and contracting services; controlling payments; monitoring banking transactions; updating the area's data on the institution's webpage, among other activities.
There will be a pre-selection of candidates based on an analysis of the documents submitted with the application. Those selected will be notified by email by the Human Resources Department. It is important to emphasize that only those who meet the minimum requirements for the position will participate in the next stage of the selection process, which consists of the following phases: essay, Excel test, individual interview, and curriculum analysis. The list of qualified candidates, in order of ranking according to their final score, will be available on the IMPA website.
