IMPA is currently accepting applications for a librarian position. To be eligible, candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in library science, possess intermediate English skills, and have basic Excel proficiency. Applications are open until May 5th, and the results will be announced on May 13th. See the announcement here.

The employment contract is under the CLT (Brazilian labor law), in-person, with a 40-hour work week, from 9 am to 6 pm, Monday to Friday. The salary is R$ 5,041.49, plus meal and/or food vouchers, transportation allowance, parking, medical and dental assistance (partial subsidy), and childcare assistance.

The main responsibilities of the position are: providing reference services, registering and guiding users; cataloging; indexing; classification; developing collections; creating and managing spreadsheets in Excel;
Organization and control of subscriptions; annual inventory of the collection.
