IMPA has an open position for an IT Specialist 3.

IMPA is currently hiring for an IT Specialist 3 position . Candidates should have solid experience in data analysis, including data collection, cleaning, transformation, and interpretation from various sources. Advanced knowledge of MySQL is also essential: proficiency in SQL queries and experience managing MySQL databases are crucial for efficiently manipulating, extracting, and analyzing data. Desirable qualifications include certifications in BI tools, such as Microsoft Power BI certifications, as well as knowledge of the R programming language and experience using the GIT version control system. The employment contract is CLT (Brazilian labor law), home-office, with a 40-hour work week, from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, Monday to Friday. The salary is R$ 14,350.83. IMPA Tech announces list of those selected for the 2nd phase The main responsibilities of the position are the processing and cleaning of data from OBMEP (Brazilian Mathematics Olympiad for Public Schools), reconciliation of OBMEP databases with other databases, and statistical analyses associated with the research project Evaluating a Motivational Video to Inspire Math Achievement at Scale, led by professors Diana Moreira (UC Davis) and Fernanda Estevan (FGV EESP). The analyst will also collaborate with the OBMEP team on demands related to data cleaning and analysis and the preparation of reports. In addition, interacting with IMPA and external researchers, implementing and maintaining Data Warehouse and Data Mart structures will be required.
